| The
Batavia Artists’ Guild has been operating since 1993. The
Guild’s fiscal year runs from October through September
of each year, with membership dues of $25 as an exhibiting artist
and $15 for a patron. The Guild’s focus is to foster, create
and encourage appreciation of the Fine Arts and to encourage the
artists in the expression of their ideas.
Artists interested in joining the Guild must submit 3 photos of
their work to be juried for membership by a 3-person membership
panel of the Batavia Artists’ Guild.
The Guild’s Board Members meet quarterly to organize and
schedule the activities and Art Exhibits/Sales for members, and
to send out a newsletter to update members. The Board bases the
involvements scheduled to the interests of the members, with a
strong effort to have three or four shows scheduled each year.
Members are expected to help in working the shows in which they
are involved by being present and helping with sales. It is not
mandatory to be involved in all shows as a member.
